Masculine Cards

Okay, back to real life again.  I got home from Convention Sunday around 5:30, got unpacked, read through hundreds of emails and started sorting through all of my photos.

This is what the stage for convention looked like.  It was beautiful and was even prettier in person.  I have some new cards to show you soon, but for now I thought I’d share some of the beautiful masculine swap cards I received.  I hope you enjoy them.

This lovely card was created by Lorrie Skinner using the Vintage Leaves stamp set.  The Decorative Dots Embossing Folder and the Burlap Ribbon add great texture to this card.

Gayle Bassett was the designer of this card I made at our Shoe Box swap.  It uses the Guy Greetings stamp set.  I love the Gold Bakers Twine on this card.  If you look very closely you can see she tied it in a sailors knot for us.

The last card also uses the Guy Greetings stamp set along with the Brick Wall Embossing Folder and some of the Go Wild Designer Series Paper Stack.  I received this card as part of a swap but unfortunately, I don’t know who to give credit for as there was no name attached to this one.

Convention Day 3

The 3rd and final day of convention was just as great as the first two.  More great classes and another Make & Take with new product.  We had awesome presentations and very motivational talks from the CEO and President of Stampin’ Up!  These talks had most of us in tears (happy tears).  We all received a package of new Designer Series Paper as well.

I participated in another swap with a group of 80 stampers that are part of a leaders group I belong to.  Then it was time for a leaders only session where we had another great speaker and received another new stamp set.

So as I was getting ready to pack my suitcase I gathered all of the free stuff I received while at convention.  Check out my haul!!

We got a big laugh as we were packing up when Katie hopped in her suitcase proving that she could easily catch a free ride inside one of our bags.
Convention was a blast and I’m looking forward to the next Stampin’ Up! event in November called On Stage!

Convention Day 2

Wow were we busy all day on Friday, which was day 2 of convention.  We had stamping presentations of Halloween, Fall and Christmas projects made from products from the Holiday Catalog.  There were lots of prize giveaways today, in fact of the 6 of us from my team here at convention, everyone of us won a prize giveaway.  We won stamp sets and punches.  Yay!

There were more recognitions today for achievements this past year.  My team did awesome; Katie Campbell was recognized on stage for her 10 year anniversary with Stampin’ Up!  Amanda Waldhart was recognized for earning the Stampin’ Up! Weekend Getaway for herself and her husband in September.  Peggy Murwin and I were both recognized for earning the Grand Vacation Cruise next May to Spain, Italy, and France.  My team ROCKS!

At theend of the day all convention goers were given one of the new Black stamp pads, these are great as they don’t bleed or smudge, or stain the stamps.  They also work with water coloring, markers and more.  I can’t wait to start stamping with this.

I realize I haven’t shared any stamping with you for a few days, so I thought I’d brag on my team members a bit more today.  These are the swap cards some of my team made for convention.  Aren’t they awesome?
