He’s the Man Birthday Card

This was a fun card to make using the He’s the Man Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This Designer Paper has great designs and colors perfect for a masuline card, but the other thing I LOVE about it is that there are 2 pages of printed Die-cuts to use as embellishments or focal points on your projects.

Color Combo

I used two different prints from the He’s the Man DSP (diagonal stripes in Cajun Craze and the Black & Sahara Sand Bar-B-Q printand attached these on to a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock, then wrapped a piece of the Sahara Sand Twill Ribbon around the layers.  This was then attached to a piece of Basic Black and then onto the Cajun Craze card base. Next, I attached the Die-cut “grill” from the He’s the Man DSP to the label I cut from Basic Black card stock using the Designer Tags Dies and popped this off the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento ink on Sahara Sand ink and turned into a banner by punching one end witht the Banners Pick a Punch.  The finishing touch was the addition of 3 Matte Black Dots.

Stampin' Up! Happiness Abounds stamp set, Hues of Happiness DSP, Stampin' Studio

Today’s card features the Happiness Abounds stamp set and the coordinating Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.  I attached a 2″ x 4″ piece of the Hues of Happiness DSP to a 4″x5-1/4″ piece of Basic White, then added some texture to the left side by running it through the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.  I added a strip of Basic Black where the embossing and DSP meet, then attached this whole piece on the card front.  The flower image from Happiness Abounds was stamped in Memento Ink on a piece of Basic White that was die-cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies and the flowers were colored in with Stampin’ Write Markers, then layered onto Basic Black.  The adorable embellishments are the Fun Flower Resin Shapes.

Lighthouse Dies

I created this card, which uses the Lighthouse Dies, for a class last month.  I love the quiet peacefulness it evokes.  The main focal point (the lighthouse) was created just with the Lighthouse Dies and cardstock; no stamping at all.

Color Combo

The red, white and blue color pallet has an Americana feel.  I used the Oceanfront stamp set for the water, then used the Blending Brush to deepen the water and fill in the sky with Starry Sky ink.  The sentiment comes from the Celebrating You stamp set.  The “frame” look was crearted by using 2 different sizes of the Deckled Rectangled Dies.
