Valentine Swaps Round 2

This great card I received as a swap at Leadership uses tons of new product.  A few of the more obvious products used here are the greeting which is from the “You Plus Me” stamp set, the tiny little hearts come from the Confetti Hearts Border Punch and the Stacked with Love DSP.

But there are a few more elements here that you may not have even noticed.  Check it out:  The Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies was used three times in this card.  The banner, the row of circles and the sweet little “bow” on the large heart all come from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.  Makes you look at those Thinlits in a brand new way doesn’t it?

This card was given to me by fellow demonstrator Pat Ertman.
I love the use of the Sale-a-bration stamp set called “You Brighten My Day”  The “house was stamped on Designer Series Paper and punched out with the “What’s Up? punch while the “love” coming out of the chimney is from the same set and punched out with the Itty Bitty Punch Pack Heart.

Valentine Swaps!

I’m finally getting around to unpacking the rest of my stuff from Leadership which included all of my swaps.  I pulled out the Valentine Themed cards and thought I’d share them with you over the next few days.  Now here’s the deal, I like to give credit to those who made the cards, but someone (who shall remain nameless) was helping me pulled them out of the clear envelopes they were in and separated the business cards from the greeting cards.  Therefore, all as can say about the makers of these beautiful cards is they are from some talented demonstrators.

This card features the “You Plus Me” stamp set, Stacked with Love DSP, and the Happy Hearts Embossing Folder.

Here’s another showing of the Happy Hearts Embossing Folder.  Notice how it’s used horizontally this time, leaving an unembossed area to the left (pretty clever).  The greeting comes from the “Groovy Love” stamp set and all of the hearts are punched out with the “Sweetheart” Punch.

Seeing double

Todays card plays around with the new Butterfly Framelits and the Best Year Ever Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper.  You know when you’ve got a good thing, you just want more of it, right?  That’s how I feel about the Butterfly Framelits.  One butterfly on the card is pretty but two just brings this over the top.

Remember my tip for cutting the butterflies out.  Build a sandwich for the Big shot in this order:
1. Magnetic Platform
2. Acrylic Plate
3. Dryer Sheet (all the little pieces stick to this making it a breeze)
4. Card stock
5. Waxed Paper (makes it so the card stock doesn’t stick inside the framelit)
6. Butterfly Framelit
7. Acrylic Plate
