And so it snows….

So it’s now November and the weather showed it’s proof yesterday when I woke up to find a dusting of snow on the ground.  I love living in Wisconsin with the change of seasons, I just wish it were a little more gradual than what seams to be a flick of a switch from fall to winter… and snow it goes!
Today’s card reminds me of one of the reasons I love Christmas in Wisconsin.  That is having a “White Christmas” (which is the name of the stamp set I used) for the trees on this card.  I also used the “Holiday Home” stamp set and coordinating “Homemade Holiday Framelits” for the house, which I popped up with dimensionals.

Window Front Card

Thanks for checking in today to see what I have to share.  This simple card is actually more than it appears.  I layered a piece of the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack on the card base and punched a hole through both layers with the 2 1/2″ circle, so it makes a window through the card front.  On the inside of the card I attached a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the tree from “Festival of Trees” stamp set through the punched out window.

So now the image that is in the  inside of the card can be seen when the card is closed because of the window.  It’s quite hard to tell from the photo, but the tree is adorned with the tiniest of our pearls that I colored with the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilitites.

Instant Elegance

No matter what I’ve done with the “Bright & Beautiful” stamp set, it turns out stunning.  I love the three sizes of stars in the set and the fact that it has coordinating Framelits to make cutting a breeze.  But the thing I love most about this set is how impressive things turn out when heat embossing with the images.  For this card I stamped Versamark on the Brushed Gold card stock and heat embossed with Whisper White.  It is instant elegance especially on the shimmery metallic card stock.
