Good to the Last Bite

Last night was my Holiday Catalog Kickoff Class where we used tons of new product from the Holiday Catalog to make some fun cards.  I used the On Point Embossing folder with Real red card stock to mimic fangs and blood rather than trees as it was designed.  The red and black pattern on the Whisper White band is actually one of the patterns from the Santa & Co. Designer Washi Tape.  The Merry Everything Bundle with the stamp set and coordinating punch was a big hit especially at 15% when purchased as a bundle.

Christmas Cheer

Its already September and we all know how fast the time goes, so its it really too early to be thinking about Christmas cards?  I don’t think so.  Not when I send out over  80 cards each year.  This super simple yet oh so elegant card is another of the cards we made at Fast & Fabulous Card Class last week.  One color of card stock, 2 markers and a little Big Shot work and it’s done.
Gotta love Fast & Fabulous!
Have you got a long list to send Christmas Cards to this year?  If so you may want to consider my Christmas Card Stamp-a-stack.  Here are the details:

Let’s get started early this year on those Christmas Cards.  I will hold a Christmas Cards Class each month in September, October, and November.  Each month I will have different cards for you to make.  Sign up for all three months or just a couple, it’s up to you.  I will design 4 different cards for each class and you will make 2 of each card — 8 cards total each month.  Each month will include an embellishment item – DSP, ribbon, brad, etc. – you will use them on your cards and have left overs of the embellishment to use at home for other projects.  Envelopes are included.
Class Fee: $25 –
this month we’ll use the
All is Calm DSP
(pg. 22 of the
Holiday catalog – your fee includes the package
of DSP and remember you take
home what’s left over)
Registration Deadline: Tuesday, September 2nd

Which do you like?

Last week I hosted an event along with my sister Peggy which was for demonstrators only.  We call this event the Holiday Catalog Demonstrator Make & Take because it features 20 cards using product from the new Holiday catalog and every demonstrator that attends gets to play with all the new goodies while making all 20 cards.  the card above is one that I had designed for the event.

As I was prepping for my Fast & Fabulous card class  I thought I’d use the a few of the same cards I had designed for the Demonstrator Make &Take but I found I had run out of some of the card stocks, designer papers and linen thread.
This card, as you can see uses the same stamp set and layout, but it features a different pattern of the Color Me Autumn Designer Series Paper, card stock, as well as bakers twine in place of linen thread.
So, I’m curious … which you like better?  Leave me a comment and let
me know.
