The new Holiday Catalog is live today!

This beauty was created using the Seasonally Scattered stamp set from the new Holiday catalog which is now live!  We can all order from the catalog now.  For this card the stamp was inked up in Crushed Curry and then a sponge dauber with Tangelo Twist ink was tapped all over the center of the stamp before applying it to paper.  Don’t you love the variegated stamping?  The feathers we made using the Feathers Framelits. You could make a bunch of these cards in no time at all.

Grateful For You!

We are getting soooo close to the start of the Holiday Catalog, I thought I’d start sharing some wonderful cards with you.  I didn’t want to start sharing them too soon and make you mad because you couldn’t purchase them yet, but tomorrow, August 28th is the day we all can order from it.

This card was created with the new “For All You Do” stamp set, and the Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper.  I am loving this stamp set and how beautiful it is for fall cards.

Blendabilities: Colored Vellum

The final technique we did at my Tools of the Trade: Blendabilites class last week was Colored Vellum.  The image from the hostess stamp set Bloom with Hope was stamped in Stazon on the Vellum card stock.  After flipping the vellum over we colored the image on the back side with Blendabilities.  The result is a softened image.  One of the challenges in using vellum is how to adhere it to a card without the adhesive showing.  In the card above I cut ovals through the Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler card stock  so that there is a window open to the inside of the card.  The vellum piece is sandwiched between the Cherry Cobbler and the Whisper White card base.

If you missed my other Blendabilities techniques scroll back through all of the posts from the last week and you’ll find a total of 8 techniques featuring Blendabilities.

If you enjoyed this Tools of the Trade: Blendabilities series, please leave me a comment and let me know which technique was your favorite.
