You know, when I received the “Work of Art” stamp set from Stampin’ Up! at the new catalog premiere back in April, I wasn’t thrilled with it. It was too obscure to me, I didn’t want to make cards wit splotches. That is until I started playing with it and seeing samples with the set. Todays card is one I received in a swap from fellow demonstrator Vicki O. She turned the line into a flower stem and stamped one of the splotches a couple of times to make the flower petals and of course the center of the flower is the circle. How clever is that? This stamp set is so popular in less than two weeks they sold all of the sets they had premade and the item went on back order. I believe they are caught up with the backorders and have an ample supply again, so if you haven’t already ordered the set, I think you should join the bandwagon and get it ordered.
My Paper Pupkin is better than ever!
Hang
on just a minute, I know what most of you are thinking… No thank you to My
Paper Pumpkin. But let me tell you a
story…
In
the beginning, when My Paper Pumpkin first came out I signed up for it and
started receiving the kits. I think the idea behind them was great, a fun paper
crafting kit that came to your door each month for you to put together at your
leisure. But I must confess, I was not
impressed with them and I dropped my monthly subscription. Some of you have been subscribers in the past
and have dropped, while some of you still get the kit every month, and others
have not tried it at all. Well, I’d like
to see that change, because My Paper Pumpkin kits have changed. Stampin’ Up! listened to us when we said the quality and style of the
kits did not meet our expectations. They’ve
really improved them in the past few months and I believe it’s worth
subscribing to again.

with your monthly My Paper Pumpkin kit.

Let me show you an example:
Here’s a past kit called Noel and it had supplies to make 4 cards like this:
Pinterest had samples made from the kit plus some extra card stock and they look like this:
Or how about turning those supplies into a festive scrapbook page.
I
am really liking the kits now and I think you will too, so give it a try.

I have a group of amazing ladies in my Stampin’ Up! team. One of those women is Amanda Waldhart. She created this great card for our swap at our last Demonstrator Make & Take. One stamp (Something to Say), one ink pad (Lost Lagoon), one package of Designer Series Paper (Moonlight).
