Lovin’ that Retro Fresh

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  I love the Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper from the occasions Catalog.  The color combinations certainly aren’t combinations I would have thought of, but I love them.  The print in this card reminds me of rainbows which makes for a happy day.

You & Me

This card makes me think of Valentine’s Day because of the heart and the words.  It also makes me think of 4th of July because of the color palate used. and it makes me think of warm summer days sailing on Lake Mendota in Madison with my hubby because of the wavy patterned designer series paper.
I love it when a card can be used for lots of different occasions.  Do you notice the tag that is stamped?  It uses one of our new Tag Topper Punches, which let me just tell you to put it on your list of must haves.

Oh, Happy Love You Day

I was jumping around to a bunch of different sites the other day and came across a card similar to this one.  I loved it and wanted to CASE it (copy and share it with you) then I couldn’t find it when I went to start stamping, so I don’t know who to give credit to the original card.  So any way, this is the card I’ll be giving my hubby on Friday for Valentine’s Day.
There are a lot of elements to this card, but none of it is hard.  Lot’s of texture and layers (two of my favorite things) by using embossing folders, Framelits, punches, dimensionals, not to mention stamping.  You could easily make this same card for birthdays or any happy occasion just by leaving of the “love You” banner.
