Valentine’s Treats

Okay, so my kids are grown, my son just graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and my daughter is a senior at University of Northwestern, but that doesn’t mean they’re too old to get Valentine’s Day treats from their mom…right?  I used the Sweetheart Treat Bags from Stampin’ Up! to decorate their treats.  What’s inside the pretty bags you ask?

I made chocolate covered Oreo’s. They’re Oreo cookies covered in a mint flavored dark chocolate and they taste just like Girl scout Thin Mint cookies.
I purchased the molds and melting chocolate at JoAnne Fabrics.  I just melted the chocolate in the microwave poured it in the molds, pushed an Oreo into the chocolate mold and put it in the freezer for 10 minutes and Voila, fancy cookies from mom.  Did you make any Valentine Treats this year?

You make the world a better place

I thought the World Map background stamp was perfect to use with this image from Starburst Sayings.  I used the Fringe Scissors to add a little pizzazz to the Coastal Cabana strip of card stock.  How fun is that?

You can Pin from my blog!

I am so excited to let you know that we can now Pin directly from my blog.  You know, I’ve mentioned a time or two that I’m not much of a techy girl.  So, I spent part of Saturday morning at Amanda’s house. She is one of my team members who has just recently started a blog, you should check it out at www.amandasinspirationstation.blogspot.com, she’s very talented.    Her husband Chris is a self taught techy guy and he was able to hook up the Pinterest Pin it button to my blog in just a couple minutes!  So now, any time you see a photo you like you can pin it to one of your Pinterest boards. Yay!!  He even set it up so that you can pin any past photos I’ve posted, all the way back to the beginning.  How cool is that!

So, here’s a card that I’m dedicating to Chris & Amanda Waldhart for helping me out.  Try the Pin it thing if you like this card.  Just move your mouse over the photo, see the Pin it pop up in the corner, just click it and you can pin it to your board on Pinterest.
