Leadership Day 2

Many laughs again on day 2 of leadership.  We started the day with a keynote speaker who shared some great business building tips, then we had classes of our own choosing, followed by dinner out with some new and old friends then off to a make and take session and more stamping presentations in the evening.

We all received a simply created card making kit, 2 more stamp sets, an aqua painter, and a fun tote bag the perfect size for holding card swaps.
Here are a few of the make & take projects.

I can’t wait to see what day 3 brings!

Leadership Day 1

You know when you smile and laugh so much that your face hurts?  That’s what kind of day we had on Thursday at Day 1 of the Leadership Conference.  We started out the morning by picking up our new Leadership bags.  They’re really pretty Smoky Slate color with a Chevron pattern embossed onto the front.  Then we went to general session where Shelli (CEO and Co-founder of Stampin’ Up!) challenged us to some goals.  Easy peasy piece of cake!  That will earn me up to 3 new stamp sets.  They made an announcement and we got to see some brand new products that will be available sometime before the end of March.  They are alcohol based markers called Blendabilities (similar to Copic markers only better because they come in our colors).  These will be available sometime before the end of March…I can’t wait.  We saw a couple new stamp sets, one of which they gave everyone who attended that is specifically for demonstrators.  They really spoil us at these events.  We had great business building classes in the afternoon and in the evening everyone who holds the title of Manager or above was invited to attend the Managers reception.

Stampin’ Up! reserved the entire Downtown Aquarium just for us.  We had awesome food, fun rides, wonderful interactive displays.  We rode a train through an underwater tunnel where all kinds of sharks were swimming right above us.  It was amazing.

At the end of the night we all got a fun shark t-shirt and another stamp set.
Speaking of stamp sets…don’t forget I’m giving away the Vivid Vases stamp set in a drawing of everyone that leaves a comment on my blog or emails me as to why you like my blog.  I will also choose the most creative answer to win another prize.

I’ll post again tomorrow with more fun from day 2!

We made it!

Wednesday was a long day of travel, but Peggy (my sister) and I made it to Houston. As I had predicted…much warmer here than in Wisconsin!  Wednesdays high was 58 degrees!
After we got to our hotel and ate dinner we met up with a bunch of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who were doing a shoe box swap.  This is where each person designs a card, cuts all the supplies for each person and everyone makes one of each card.  So everyone makes a ton of cards.  We were not participating in this swap, but we still got to visit with others and see a bunch of great swaps.  Here are a few photos of some of the swaps.  I don’t know who the creator of each swap is, so unfortunately I can’t give credit, but you can still enjoy them.

And don’t forget about leaving me a comment either here on my blog or email it to me as to why you like my blog.  If you do, you’ll get your name in the drawing for the Vivid Vases Stamp featured in the card above.
