I get asked quite often when new colors are introduced to the Stampin’ Up! line up, who comes up with the names of the colors? Years ago at one of my very first conventions I met a Stampin’ Up! employee who’s was on the team to name new colors. How fun would that be?
When Nicole was younger and lived and breathed Stampin’ Up! along with me (she’s moved on from that in her life right now) we would try our hand at naming colors. I remember one name we came up with for a yellowish-orange was Serene Sunset: doesn’t that sound pretty? We also came up with a name for a deep purple which we named Bad Bruise! Okay, maybe that one wasn’t so good… I guess I’ll stick to card making and leave the name calling to Stampin’ Up!

This card features the new In Color Tangelo Twist with Bermuda Bay. I simply used one of the images from “Work of Art” stamp set and stamped it three times with Tangelo Twist without reinking the stamp. That’s what gives the various shades of orange. I paired it with Bermuda Bay for a fun color combination.
