Founder’s Circle: Day 4

Peggy and I made plans to do a little shopping and spend some time visiting with new friends.

On day two I met Angie Juda, who is not only an amazing demonstrator, but also a passionate quilter.  She actually brought her sewing machine on the trip and made a quilt on day two and another on day 3.  She showed me how she could make them so quickly with so I thought I’d try it and make myself a Founder’s Circle Quilt.  So in the morning 4 of us piled in a car and went to 2 quilt shops.  In the afternoon I made another trip to yet another quilt shop with Angie and a few other demonstrators and bought another package of fabric.  I’m excited to get started on it.

One thing that also makes it special is I was able to use part of my $150 gift certificate I earned from Stampin’ Up! to purchase the materials.

In the late afternoon we celebrated our final event on the lawn of an art museum for a beautiful early dinner.  As always, Stampin’ Up! sets the stage with a wonderful table setting.  We each received a little gift box from Sara, Shelli’s daughter and acting interim CEO of Stampin’ Up!  In the box was a stone with the word “Inspire” engraved into it.  Sara said it’s because we inspire her so much and we inspire our customers and friends and it causes a ripple effect just like when a stone is thrown into the water.  I liked the metaphor since the theme of this years Founder’s Circle was “The Last Splash” since it’s the last Founder’s Circle they will be having.

After dinner we went to a live performance of West Side Story which was performed “in the round”.  It was a beautiful and touching performance.  When we got back to the hotel there were lot’s of sad good-bye’s as day 5 is going home day and it will be a long time before many of us will see each other again.

When I returned t my room at the end of the evening I had yet another gift on the bed from Stampin’ Up!  It was a Pandora bracelet with a beach ball charm to commemorate this trip.
