Make it Monday: Drapery Fold

I received this lovely thank you card from my friend and team member Wendy Tikk.

Drapery Fold

I LOVE how she created the vintage tea pot using the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper and the Cups & Kettles Framelits Dies (which have sold out and are no longer available) but I know the big question I’m going to get asked is how did she do that fold on the bottom.  The fold is called a drapery fold and I’m going to share it with you.

For the Drapery Fold you will need a piece of card stock or designer series paper cut 8″ long x 2 3/4″ high.

Drapery Fold

Using the Simply Scored Tool score it at 2 1/4″,  2 3/4″,  3 3/4″,   4 1/4″,   5 1/4″,  5 3/4″,  6 3/4″, 7 1/4″

Now draw a diagonal line on the bottom edge from the 2 1/4″ score line the the edge of the paper at 1 1/2″.

Cut paper off at diagonal line.

Secure each fold with snail adhesive and attach to the card.
