My husband Dave and I love to go sailing.  This year however we opted not to put out boat in the water as we are doing a major renovation to our house, with us doing the majority of the work.  I thought a card that reflects our love of the water would be fitting to share with you.

The blue and white stripes come from the By the Shore Designer Series Paper and lends itself to the nautical theme of the card.  The adorable anchor and banner are from the Seaside Shore stamp set and look perfect on the life ring that was punched out with circle punches.  All good sailors know that the lines on the boat are a critical part of sailing, so this card has lines made with Linen Thread.  Add a few star shaped sequins and this sweet card is finished.
