I’ve been playing around with punch art and came up with this little chick made from the Fox Builder Punch. This punch is so versatile, it’s so much fun to see what critters and things you can make as the possibilities are endless. I held a class earlier in the week where we made 4 cards with the Fox Builder Punch and everyone also received the Fox Builder Punch to take home with them.
Today’s Color Palette
I started out with some of the different Designer Series Paper Stacks for the background paper piecing. The Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon matches the card base perfectly. I created the perfect frame for the chick with the Layering Squares Framelits. The punch art chick was created with with one body piece, one head piece with the ears trimmed off, four little “tufts” in So Saffron and two in Peekaboo Peach. I found that sponging around all of the punched pieces helped to add dimension to the punch art. Next I stamped the eyes with the image from Foxy Friends stamp set and added the nose which also came from the Fox Builder Punch. Finally the chick’s body was attached to the card and the head was popped up with a dimensional.
I’ve got more Foxy Builder Punch Art to share with you over the next few days, so be sure to come back tomorrow.
