The Baby Bear stamp set is a new addition to the annual catalog this year and it’s great because of the three step stamping technique.  Three step stamping is an upgrade from the long time two step stamping we’ve had around for years.  Maybe you’re wondering, “What does three step stamping mean”?  It’s simply stamping an image once, stamp directly on top of it with an overlay stamp in a different color, and…you guessed it…stamp another overlay image on top of the others in yet a different color.  In this case I stamped the most detailed image of the bear first using Soft Suede.  My second layer was Tip Top Taupe with the medium detailed bear image.  The final layer was stamped in Crumb Cake and it is the image that is nearly completely filled in.  This process gives great depth to the final stamped image resulting in an antique photo look.  I added the bow which is two step stamped with Watermelon Wonder with full strength ink on the more detailed image of the bow.  The second step was with the filled in image of the bow and once again with Watermelon Wonder which was stamped off once before stamping directly over the top of the first bow image.
