Bunch of Blossoms: Recycle your card layouts

Did you know you can recycle your card layouts?  I don’t mean pulling pieces and elements off the card and reusing them, but yes you could do that.  What I’m talking about is using the design of a card you’ve done in the past and changing up the stamp set and colors to create a whole new look.

Bunch of Blossoms

Today’s Color Palette

Colors (48)

I started out using the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set which has a coordinating punch called the Blossom Builder Punch: Purchase the bundle and save 10%.  This stamp set uses the two step stamping technique that I shared in yesterday’s post.  You can see that HERE.  I stamped three of the flower petals in Sweet Sugarplum ink that was stamped off once, then I stamped the next image directly over the first with the same ink not stamped off.  This gives depth to the flower petals.  Next  I punched those petals out  and fanned them out a bit to resemble a blooming flower.  I stamped one of the star shaped flowers and punched that out and wrapped it around the blooming flower.  After stamping the stem and leaves in a square of Whisper White I attached the blooming flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals to add depth to the project.  Another square layer in Pear Pizzazz and a banner of Sweet Sugarplum help to highlight the focal image, while the striped designer paper adds interest.  The sweet sentiment comes from the same stamp set.

Try your hand at recycling your card layouts and see what you think.  If you’d like to see my original use of this card layout which I posted last October please Click here
