Embossing Paste & Masks with This Little Piggy

Here’s my second card using the Embossing Paste and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.  I wanted to have fluffy clouds, rather than flat ones so I applied a liberal amount of paste to the cloud mask and rather than spreading it thin, I kind of “pulled” the paste up so that the clouds have depth to them.  It takes just a little bit longer for the fluffy clouds to dry, but it’s so worth it, don’t you think?

When I first saw the This Little Piggy stamp set with the image of the flying pig, I couldn’t help but think there should be a sentiment stamp that says, “…when pigs fly…” Don’t you think that would come in handy every now and then:) I stamped the image in Shimmer White card stock with Basic Black ink and then applied a wash of Powder Pink ink with the Aqua Painter over the pig, making sure not to color the wings.  Next, was a bit of fussy cutting of the piggy and I popped her up off the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The sentiment on the banner is actually attached to the pig image on the stamp, so I just stamped them separately so that I could put the words on the banner.  Inside the card (which I forgot to take a picture of) is the sentiment “…and so she did!”  This card is just so much fun, it makes me smile just like the flying pig!
