It’s been a long cold winter here in Wisconsin with no apparent end in sight, so I thought I’d share a card featuring the Flowering Desert stamp set that makes me warm just looking at it. This card used just one stamp set and it’s great set in that it’s a 16 piece stamp set that features both stamped images and sentiments with a hand written font.
Color Combo
I received this card in a swap I participated in from Kay Cogbill and as I’ve done in the past, I’d like to share with you three things I LOVE about this card.
- I love the color palette of Coastal Cabana and Old Olive. Even though the color palette is cool tones, to me it still evokes much warmth.
- I love the use of the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper because the Old Olive print with the lines of stitching makes ties in so well with the texture of the cactus.
- I love the use of the wooden accent from the Butterfly Elements and how it adds both visual texture and coordinates so well with the green stamped leaves.
