We’ve been home from my Stamp Crop & Cruise Retreat for just over a week and I feel like I’m finally caught up on things. I’ve had a chance to look through all my photos from the trip and I wanted to share them with you.
Dave and I honestly had the BEST time with these folks all week long We had 5 stampers that had registered but weren’t able to make it…some due to weather in Canada and one due to illness. So sad they couldn’t join in the fun. The cruise was a 7 night cruise on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas. We visited Labadee Haiti, Falmouth Jamaica, and Cozumel Mexico.
We enjoyed three days at sea, where we spent much of the time in the classroom where everyone made 8 class projects that I designed and prepped for them. I’ve shared the Scrapbook and a set of cards last week. If you missed them you can see them by clicking on the links below.
We started out the cruise with an informal gathering where everyone got a lanyard and name tag. Those that attended my cruise last year received the Petal Pink Rhinestone Gems and those that were new to Stamp Crop & Cruise received a package of the Dinoroar Enamel Shapes. Both of these gifts were wrapped in a cute package, but I forgot to take a picture of them. Once it was time for class, everyone received a Stamp Crop & Cruise tote bag, which held all 8 of the class project kits as well as the Sending You Thoughts stamp set, a package of Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots, Multi-purpose Glue and a sponge.
Each day at sea, my stampers also received a stamped muslin bag filled with more goodies to be used on the projects. By the end of the week they had collected Pearl Basic Jewels, Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape, Crushed Curry Seam Binding Ribbon, Burlap Braided Trim, Petal Pink Metallic-Edge Ribbon, Metallic Baker’s twine & Sequins Combo Pack, Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, and Designer Elements.
We had an opportunity for those attending to sign up and participate in our group card swap. Nearly everyone opted to participate and they went home with a bunch of stunning cards created by fellow crafters.
We played a Bingo Scavenger Hunt, where they had to take a picture of themselves with something listed on their Bingo scavenger Hunt sheet. Everyone that got 5 in a row, got a Bingo and won a prize. On the final day at sea in the afternoon, we gathered for some fun games where everyone had the opportunity to win prizes in the form of over $500 in Stampin’ Up! product.
I made door signs for each of the cabins doors.
This was our cabin which over looked Central Park on the ship,
Some nights we found adorable towel animals on our bed. These two swans were there for us on Valentines Day.
Now, are you ready to see some views around the ship?
This is a view looking down on to Central Park from the 14th deck of the ship. Looking straight ahead you can see the 3 water slides, which of course we had to try each one!
Here’s the Bionic Bar, where you order your drink with an IPad, and the robotic bartenders make it for you. Its was pretty neat to watch.
This gorgeous Carousel is on the cruise ship along the Boardwalk. Can you believe it?
I’ve made reference to central Park a few times in this post….so here it is. It is an area in the middle o the ship on the 8th floor where there are walkways and trees and live flowers and i’ts opened to the sky above.
This is the Royal Promenade on the 5th floor where each night different bands would play. There are a bunch of stores, bars and restaurants here as well.
This is the Rising Tide Bar. The entire bar rises up 2 stories and then comes back down…fun!
This odd looking structure is called the Ultimate Abyss. It’s a 10 story slide that goes from the 15 floor all the way to the Boardwalk on the 6th floor. We did it and it was not scary at all. Below is a stunning view from the top of the ship looking behind us as we sailed along.
And finally, we get to some stamping. This is one of the projects we made on one of the sea days. It’s a calendar and Post-it Note holder which is collapsible. I used the Honeybee stamp set and coordinating Detailed Bee’s Dies along with the Golden Honey Designer Series Paper.
If you’ve enjoyed my post and it’s something you’d like to do, I’d love to have you join in the fun for my 3rd Annual Stamp Crop & Cruise. We’ll be leaving from Fort Lauderdale, Florida next April for another cruise on Oasis of the Seas. This time we’ll be going to St. Thomas, St Kits & Nevis and Royal Caribbean’s private island they call Perfect Day at Cocoa Cay. You can find all the details by clicking the link below.
