Technique: How to get color on dark cardstock

You’ve likely seen some stunning stamped creations that feature a stamped image that pops of color even though it’s stamped on dark cardstock.  I bet you’re wondering how to get the color to show up on the dark background.  Today, I’ll share with you this Technique: How to get color on dark cardstock.

Color Pallet

I used the Celebrate Sunshine stamp set and stamped the flowers in Early Espresso Ink on the Mist Moonlight cardstock.  Next using a Blender Pen and the Whisper White Craft ink, I colored in the image one section at a time.  This gives a light base from which to build the color on.  Early Espresso, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencils were then used to color in the image.  The darker the coloring, the more the colors show up on the dark cardstock.
