Today I’m sharing a framed art piece I created for a demonstrator event we held virtually a few weeks ago. This piece features the Expressions in Ink Suite and a poem I found online. I believe the credit for the poem goes to Lyssa Zwolanek.
The gorgeous splash of color in the background is one of the prints from the Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper, which I cut down to 8-1/2″ x 11″ so I could print the poem directly on the paper. Once it was printed, I trimmed it down to 8″ x 8″ to fit the shadowbox frame I purchased at a craft store.
Notice the gold and white stripped print along the bottom? That’s another print from the Designer Paper! The Gold Hexagon shapes are laser cuts which are found in the Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack as are the gold leaves and sprigs. The rose from the Artistically Inked stamp set was stamped in Polished Pink and cut out with the coordinating die from the Artistic Dies set. I’m excited to have this hanging in my Stampin’ Studio class room.

I just purchased the Expressions in Ink Ephemeral Pack and was surprised that the gold pieces didn’t have glue on the back of them. What do you recommend using for the gold hexagons to adhere them since they are so narrow of a piece and double lines,,,? I am frustrated and would appreciate greatly hearing from you as there was no further instructions that I could find on this card for how you stuck them onto the lovely picture that you made.
Hi Alma, I used the Multi-purpose Glue to adhere the Gold pieces from the Ephemeral Pack. Just a tiny dab of glue on each corner and the stick very well.
