Christmas Card with Swinking Technique

Previously, I shared how to use the Swinking Technique to make a custom plaid print, you can see that HERE and today I’ve got another Swinking Technique to share with you.  I created this Christmas card using the Classic Stampin’ Spots Assortment once again.

For the Swinking on this card, I used the Shimmery White Card Stock and held a length of scrap card stock across it horizontally just above the center of the paper.  Next I dragged Real Red Stampin’ Spot from the scrap piece onto the Shimmery White piece and dragged it for about 1/2″ or so.  I left a space about the width of the Stampin’ Spot and dragged the Real Red again and again acorss the Shimmer White.  I then filled in the spaces the same way with the Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Spot.  Once I had a line of alternating red & green swipws of ink, I turned the cardstock 180 degrees so that the swinking was at the bottom.  I replaced the scrap piece of cardstock and repeated the process starting with Shaded Spruce first.

Once all the swinking was done, I spritzed the Shimmery White cardstock with water to let the ink “do it’s thing”.  After the card stock dried, I stamped the sentiment from Brightest Glow stamp set with Shaded Spruce on the lower right and attached a piece of  White Glittered Ribbon which was tied into a bow, then attached the Shimmer White to a Real Red card base.  The finishing touch on the card was the addition of a few Red Rhinestones.
