I am not a coffee drinker, but I just had to get this stamp set because #1 it’s adorable and #2 many people I know are big coffee drinkers and would love to get a card using the products. This card features the Latte Love stamp, A Little Latte Designer Series Paper as well as the Adhesive-Backed Swirl Dots. Not only is the card adorable, but it’s also a Fun Fold Card!
Color Combo
The front of the card starts with a 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Early Espresso followed by a piece of Calypso Coral which measures 4″ x 4″. The designer paper measures 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″. Next is another piece of Early Espresso measuring 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″. Basic White measuring 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ was used to stamp the coffee cup with Pecan Pie Ink and colored in with Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. This piece was then adhered to the Early Espresso piece, then the layers are attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped with Pecan Pie Ink and die cut with the circle from the Latte Love Dies. This is adhered to a 1-1/2″ Early Espresso circle, then attached to the front with Dimensionals. A few Adhesive-Backed Swirl Dots were added to finish the front.
The back of the card is a 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Early Espresso. 1-1/4″ x 4″ pieces of designer paper are adhered to each side of the Early Espresso. Then for the fold…it’s a piece of Basic White that measures 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and is scored at 2-3/4″ and 4-1/8″. Se the photo below to see how this piece is folded and where it’s attached to the back of the card. To attach the front piece of the card, lay the back of the card on your work surface with the Basic White piece folded on the score lines, then apply your adhesive to the top flap and center the front of the card as shown on the photo above.
The stamped Basic White square for the inside is 2-1/8″ x 2-1/8″ and one again it’s stamped in Pecan Pie and colored in with Calypso Coral. The coffee is also stamped with Pecan Pie. This piece is attached to a 2-3/8″ x 2-3/8″ piece of Early Espresso. If you notice in the photo below, there’s a little “spring” piece between the card back and the stamped layer. The spring measures 3/4″ x 3-3/4″ and is scored at 3/4″, 1-1/8″, 1-1/2″, 2-1/4″, 2-5/8″, and 3″. This is folded on the score lines to make the shape shown in the photo below, then attached to the center back of the stamped layers. Then attach it to the card back making sure it doesn’t show when the card is closed.
