When the Charming Day Bundle (stamp set & coordinating dies) came out along with coordinating Floral Charm Designer Series Paper I knew I wanted to use these for one of the class projects for Stamp, Crop & Cruise Retreat. I decided to create a simple fun fold card called Missing Middle.
For this vertical card we started with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ Pretty Peacock card base and cut the middle out of the card front. The front was then reassembled by adding some die-cut pieces from the Branching Out Dies. The die-cut layers hold the bottom portion of the card front to the top flap. Pretty Peacock and Berry Burst Stampin’ Blends were used to color the images and we used the Charming Shimmer Dots to finish it off.
This second vertical card used the same principle as the first card except we started with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Blackberry Bliss card base which we cut the middle out of. Once again the Branching Out Dies were used to die-cut the pieces that put the front back together again. The images was colored with Berry Burst and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
Next we went horizontal for this card starting with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Pretty Peacock card base. The amount that get’s cut out of the middle depends on what sentiment or image you’re putting on the inside to show through the front. Any size at all will work.
The final card is another horizontal version. So, you can see how easy the Missing Middle Cards are to make and there’s so much versatility to them. I hope you’ll give it a try sometime.
The Charming Day stamp set and the Charming Shimmer Dots are no longer available as they have sold out, but the dies are available as a Last Chance item at a reduced price and the beautiful Floral Charm Designer Series Paper is still available.
