Blendabilities: Curled Window Sheets

Curled Window Sheets was hands down the favorite technique we did at my Blendabilities class this past week.  The general rule when using Blendabilites to color something in, is that you must use the Momento ink pad because Blendabilities are alcohol based and the other inks will bleed with them.  However, as in life there always seems to be an exception to the rule.  This time I stamped the flower in Stazon ink on a piece of our window sheets and cut it out by hand.  Yes, we have a punch that coordinates, but you can’t use the punch on the window sheets, so we had to hand cut.  Next, I flipped the window sheet over and colored the flower on the back side of the image. NOTE: It’s very hard to tell the front from the back, but you’ll instantly know when you start coloring because the Stazon ink will disappear if you color on the stamped side.  I attached the flower image with a Glue Dot to a piece of Whisper White card stock and then I got out the heat gun and allowed the heat to slowly melt and curl the Window Sheet plastic.  The result is beautiful flowers that have depth and dimension.  The project pictured above was made by my talented sister and team member, Peggy.
