Fun fold with Flower & Field Designer Paper

There are only 5 days left of Sale-a-bration as it ends on February 28th, so I wanted to share some cards I made using the Flower & Field Designer Series Paper that is one of the FREE Sale-a-bration product choices with a $50 order.  I created 5 different Fun Fold cards with the Flower & Field DSP and the Happy Thoughts stamp set from the Spring mini catalog.  I will be sharing one fun fold card each day for the next 5 days.

Color Combo

This Fun Fold Card is called a Tent Card and it uses the FREE Flower & Field DSP that is available only until February 28th.  Don’t miss out on getting it or any of the other Sale-a-bration products.

Measurements:
Seaside Spray – 4-1/4” x 8 1/2″ – score at 4 1/4″ for card base
                       3-3/4” x 1-1/4”
Misty Moonlight – 4” x 4″
                          3-3/4” x 2-1/4” for Hippo & Friends Die
                          4” x ¼”
Basic White – 3-1/2” x 2” for Hippo & Friends Die
Flower & Field DSP – 3-3/4” x 2-1/2”
Misty Moonlight 1/4” Ribbon – 4”

Instructions:

Fold card base in half on score line and attach large Misty Moonlight piece to card front followed by the Seaside Spray and Flower and Field DSP. Finish that off with the thin strip of Misty Moonlight. 

On the remaining piece of Misty Moonlight, use the medium size die from the Hippo & Friends Dies to cut out the label.                                                                                                                               

Stamp the sentiment in Memento Ink on the Basic White piece and die-cut it with the smallest Hippo & Friends Die, then attach it to the Misty Moonlight label. 

Place Stampin’ Dimensionals on the lower backside of the label layers and attach to the card front making sure the total height is not more than 5-1/2″ or it won’t fit in the envelope. 

Tie a knot in the ribbon and attach to the label with Mini Glue Dot.

Hey Birthday Chick

A few years ago, there was a stamp set called Hey Chick that was wildly popular, so this year in the Spring Mini Catalog, we’ve come out with Hey Birthday Chick which coordinates perfectly with the Hey Chick stamp set.  Today’s card features the new Hey Birthday Chick stamp set and coordinating Birthday Chick Dies.

Color Combo

Measurements: 

  • Thick Basic White: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored at 4-1/4”
  • Bermuda Bay: 2” x 3-3/4”
  • Basic White: 3-1/2” x 2-1/2”;  1-1/2” x 1-1/2”;  2-1/2” x 1”
  • Mango Melody: 4” x 2-3/4”
  • Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper: 5-1/4” x 4”;  1-3/4” x 3-1/2”

Instructions:

  • Fold card base in half on score line and attach larger Oh So Ombre DSP to front of card with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive.
  • Attach small Oh So Ombre DSP to Bermuda Bay Card stock and attach to card front with Stampin’ Seal as shown.
  • Use largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to cut rectangle from the Mango Melody piece and attach this to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.
  • Use second largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to cut rectangle from the largest Basic White piece.
  • Stamp the Bird with the cupcake with Memento Ink on the Die-cut rectangle and color the image with Stampin’ Blends: Light Bermuda Bay for head & tail feathers and cupcake, Light Rococo Rose for head & tail feathers and cupcake, Dark Mango Melody for head & tail feathers and cupcake, and Light So Saffron for bird body shadow and ground. Attach this piece to Mango Melody piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Stamp Happy Birthday on strip of Basic White with Memento Ink and cut banner with Tasteful Labels Die and attach to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Stamp chick in the eggshell on remaining Basic White piece with Memento Ink and color in with Stampin’ Blends: Dark Mango Melody for chick body and beak, Light Rococo Rose for hat and Light So Saffron for egg shadow.
  • Die-cut chick with Birthday Chick Dies and attach chick to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Apology with the Art Gallery Bundle

Sometimes you just need to say, “I’m sorry”, and a great way to offer an apology is with the Art Gallery Bundle.  Don’t you just love the die-cut sentiment from the Floral Gallery Dies?  I added the word sorry, but you could just as easily say, thank you or good luck or Happy Birthday or I miss you.  You’ve got many possibilities when you coordinate the Art Gallery stamp set with the Floral Gallery dies.  You also save 10% when you purchase them in the bundle.

My color combination came directly from the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper.  The card base is Merry Merlot with a layer of Shimmer White on top.  A strip of the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper that measures 1-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ is attached to the left side of the card front followed by a 1/4″ x 5-1/4″ strip of Merry Merlot.  Texture was added to a piece of Bumble Bee card stock measuring 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.  The large sentiment is die cut from Basic Black using the Floral Gallery Die and attached with Multi-purpose Glue.  2 circles cut using the Layering Circles Dies highlight the flower stamped in Merry Merlot and the word sorry stamped in Memento Ink.  Merry Merlot was cut using the 4th largest circle while Shimmery White was cut using the 5th larges circle.  The circles are attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and a piece of the Fine Art Ribbon is folded in half and tucked under the circle layers and attached with Mini Glue Dots.
