Cindy Casique made this sweet little package that holds a full size Kit Kat bar.  She used a piece of Basic Black cardstock for the base which measures 4-3/4″ tall and 6″ wide and scored at 2-3/4″ and 3-1/4″.  This makes a little “book in which the Kit Kat bar was attached inside with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  After closing the “book” Cindy attached a piece of Black Scalloped Ribbon to tie it shut, then layered Pumpkin Pie cardstock and some of the Monster Bash DSP to the front cover.  The pirate duck from the Birds of a Feather stamp set was stamped in Memento Ink and colored in with Stampin’ Blends Markers and cut out by hand with Paper Snips before attaching it to an oval cut out with the Stitched Shapes Dies.  The sentiment  is bedazzled with one of the Rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Sharon Mallo got creative with a little tin she found.  After wrapping a piece of  the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper around the tin, she stamped the sentiment in Memento ink.  Sharon colored the bird similar to Cindy’s in the previous project and popped it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  So cute, so simple…and the treat inside was yummy too.  Kinda makes you want to package up some little Halloween treats doesn’t it?

Halloween Treats with Boo To You stamp set

Do you love cute little packages?  Then you may really love my new series of posts because I’ve got some of the most adorably packaged Halloween treats.  Over then next week or so, I’ll be sharing the Halloween treats packaging from our Holiday Hoopla swap.  Every person that participated in the swap created a sweet treat package for everyone in the swap, so there were tons of great and inspirational ideas.  Today’s Halloween treats focus on the Boo to You stamp set.

Connie Ward created a little black box, then wrapped some of the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper around the bottom edge.  The little Frankenstein was stamped in Memento ink and colored in with Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends and cut out with Paper Snips.  I love the addition of the Googly Eyes!.  The sign that Frankie is holding was cut out with the Ornate Frames Dies, and believe me when I say these are a must have set of dies.  The make everything look extra special.  Once she tucked the treat inside the box, Connie tied it up with the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon.  Don’t you just love it?

I laughed so hard when I saw this Halloween treat created by Amanda Waldhart.  It’s so cute!  I love how the Googly Eyes on the pretzel sticks tie right into the stamped image with Googly Eyes.  Once again, the Boo to You stamp set was used and colored in with the same Stampin’ Blends then cut out with the Stitched Shapes Dies and Layered on a Pumpkin Pie scalloped circle.  A couple festive banners were added using the Brights Designer Series Paper and then all of it was attached to a tag made from the Monster Bash DSP and tied to the Gusseted Cellophane Bag.  This is a treat anyone would love to get!

Back on Your Feet Soon

We all know someone who’s had a bit of hard luck, whether it’s from an injury or illness or just a personal set back.  This card which I created using the Back On Your Feet stamp set is the perfect way to cheer someone up and let them know you’re thinking of them.

I stamped the turtle in Memento Ink then pulled out my Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers to color him in.  By using both the light and dark Stampin’ Blends, I was able to add shading and create a little depth.  I also used the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend Marker to color the 3 pearls.  Stampin’ Blends work great for this.

If you’ve followed my blog for long, you’ve noticed that there are 3 things I include on nearly all of my stamping.  That is layers, Embellishments and texture.  The layers in this card are obvious and we’ve already talked about the pearl embellishments, so now on to the texture.  I used the Mosaic 3-D Embossing Folder on the layer of Granny Apple Green to add texture that resembles the turtle’s shell.  It’s a quick and easy way to tie the whole thing together.
