Sailing Home Z-Fold Fun Fold

I think by now you realize I really like the Sailing Home stamp set, and the whole Come Sail Away Suite.  You can see other cards I posted using this stamp set by clicking on the following links:

Today I created a Z-fold card using the Sailing Home stamp set and the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper.

The Z-Fold is created by starting out with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of cardstock and scoring it at 2-1/8″ and  4-1/4″ and folding on these score lines.  I attached a piece of the Come Sail Away DSP to the top section.  The DSP measures 5-1/4″ x 1-7/8″.  The sailboat and seagulls are stamped in Whisper White in Stazon Ink and cut out using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.  I added just a touch of color to the sails and water with a Blender Pen and Night of navy Ink.  I attached a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock to the inside of the card and seamped the sentiment so that it was visible with the card closed.

Bloom & Grow stamp set

Sometimes I think, I don’t need anymore flower stamp sets, I’ve got plenty.  That is until I see a new stamp set with gorgeous flowers that seem to be calling my name.  That’s what happened when I saw the Bloom & Grow stamp set.  Add to that, the fact that there is a set of coordinating dies to cut out the images, called  Budding Blooms Dies and I just can’t resist!   Better yest is that I saved 10% buy purchasing the bundle with the stamp set and dies!

This card is a “Half Flap” fun fold card, just like THIS CARD I shared a couple days ago.  I started out with a Very Vanilla card base and added a piece of So Saffron to the inside.  I added texture to the Mint Macaron piece with the Lace 3D Embossing Folder and wrapped a piece of the Scalloped Lace Trim around it before attaching it to the front flap of the card.  The sentiment is stamped with Memento ink on a Very Vanilla Label I cut out using the Wild Rose Die.  This is popped up off the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals that attach it only to the Mint Macaron side of the card.  Now onto my favorite part of this card….those gorgeous flowers.  They were stamped on Very Vanilla with Memento Ink and colored in with Stampin’ Blends using Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, So Saffron and Mint Macaron.  After the coloring and shading was done, I cut them out with the Budding Blooms Die and popped it up with Dimensionals too.

Butterfly Wishes

Today’s card features the Butterfly Wishes stamp set, which is one of the Dist-INK-tive stamps.  That means it’s been created with photographic imagery.  For example the flowers in the card below have depth to the design like a photo would have.

To get the multi colored flowers and branch, I used a sponge dauber with Old Olive to ink up the branch and leaves and then used Terracotta Tile and sponge dauber to ink up the flowers before stamping them on the Sahara Sand card stock.  Next, to add texture, I embossed the card base and the stamped piece with the Subtle Embossing Folder.  After layering the Old Olive on the card front and the stamped piece, I added a piece of the Terracotta Tile Scalloped Linen Ribbon.  The butterfly was stamped off once before stamping it on a piece of Sahara Sand and cutting it out with Paper Snips and popping it up off the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
