Everything Amazing for “beginning stampers”

I remember when I first started stamping and everything was new and exciting and frankly a bit overwhelming!  You see all the amazing samples in the catalog, but it seems like you have to have so much stuff to make a card.  Well, today’s card is a great card for a beginning stamper that doesn’t own a bunch of stuff.  In fact, this card uses 1 stamp set, 3 ink pads, a roll of ribbon and and a package on note cards and envelopes.  You’ll have enough product to make 20 cards without purchasing another thing.

Stampin' Up! Everything Amazing stamp set, Stampin' Studio

So let’s talk details here.  First off the Scalloped Note Cards & Envelopes have dainty scalloped edges on the cards and the coordinating envelopes and you get 5 each of 4 different colors for a total of 20 cards.  Next, the stamp set is called Everything Amazing and it’s a wonderful set in that there are 15 stamps in the set that range from cool graphic image, sentiments for birthday, friends and encouragement and also hearts, balloons, flowers, candles and more.  For ink, everyone should have a Memento Ink Pad as it is the “Go to” black ink pad.  Then aI added Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral because they’re happy colors that I love together.  Finally, you ca’t go wrong with the Bermuda Bay Striped Ribbon.

Instructions:

  • Stamp large sentiment in Memento Ink
  • Stamp small sentiments in Calypso Coral
  • Stamp stars in Bermuda Bay
  • Wrap Bermuda Bay Striped Ribbon around card front and tie in a knot.

Tomorrow, I’ll be using the same products plus a few more to “step up” a card for the “Casual Stamper”.  In the mean time don’t forget that Bonus Days are here as well as the “extra Extra Promotion .Read on for details.

Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper & Beautiful Friendship

Oh My Gosh, Oh My Gosh you guys! If you haven’t already seen and played with the new Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper you have got to get some and see in person just how gorgeous this paper is!  I’ve paired it with the lovely Beautiful Friendship stamp set for a winning combination.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Friendship stamp set, Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Studio

Color Combo

I adore Seaside Spray and Blueberry Bushel together, such a sophisticated look when you add just a touch of Old Olive.  The card base is 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 5-1/2″.  This leaves the front flap only 2-3/4″ wide.  I then attached a 4″ x 2-1/2″ piece of Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Paper to the flap.  The sentiment is stamped on Seaside Spray with Blueberry Bushel ink and matted with a piece of Blueberry Bushel Foil from the Noble Peacock Foils Sheets Package and another piece of Seaside Spray.  The beautiful rose is cut out using the Layering Circles Dies and mounted a on a foil circle cut out with the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch.  Finally, I added a few of the Noble Peacock Rhinestones to add the finishing touch.

Look at how gorgeous this paper is!  Foil accents add elegance to this jewel toned paper.  The photo really doesn’t do it justice, you’ve got feel the texture and see the shine in person to really appreciate it.  You get 12 sheets of 12″ x 12″ paper in the package; that’s 4 sheets of Pretty Peacock, 4 sheets of Blueberry Bushel and 4 sheets of Old Olive to create stunning projects!
