Over the Moon

I love when a stamp set is so unexpected that it makes you giggle.  That’s what happened to me when I saw the Over the Moon stamp set.  This 11 piece stamp set has 3 adorable cows and some fun sentiments and it’s a perfect set for those everyday occasions.

Color Combo

My color combination came from the striped print from the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.  I cut a
2-1/4″ x 3-1/3″ piece of the DSP and centered it on the Pool Party card base.  Next I cut out the “frame” by using 2 different sizes of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and popped it up on the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Now for the sweet cow….I stamped him in Stazon ink and colored him in with Stampin’ Write Markers.  His spots are Basic Black, boots are Pool Party, Flower is Daffodil Delight, the stem & leaves are Old Olive and Petal Pink was used on  his ears, horns and nostrils..  Once he was all colored I did a little fussy cutting and popped him up with Dimensionals too.  The sentiment was punched out using the Classic Label Punch and is embellished with a Happiness Blooms Enamel Dot.

Monochromatic Sailing Home

I love the crisp contrast of Navy and White, so I pulled out the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper and decided to go with a monochromatic card featuring Night of Navy, Seaside Spray and Whisper White.

This design layout is one of my favorites and I think it works great to showcase a couple of the prints from the Come Sail Away DSP.  Many of the prints in the package have a nautical theme, but flip them over and you’ve got stripes and maps and other great choices to go with as well.  I love the touch of texture with the addition of the Flax Ribbon banner.

I decided to add a sailboat to the inside of the card and rather than stamp a sentiment in side I left room for a hand written note.

Free as a Bird with the Bird Ballad Suite

As a demonstrator, we get to pre-order products about a month before the catalogs go live.  The Bird Ballad Suite is one of the things that was was offered to us to pre-order.  The suite has some gorgeous products in it, like the Free as a Bird stamp set I used on today’s card.  I used Stampin’ Blends to color the birds to make it coordinate with the lovely Bird Ballad Designer Series paper.
