Stamp Crop & Cruise project 3

Over the last three days I’ve been sharing with you some of the details and projects we had on my Stamp Crop & Cruise Retreat.  Today I want to share Project 3.  We made a 24 page scrapbook album so we could go home and simply add our photos from the trip.  Everyone received the 12″ x 12 Album as well as the Page Protectors as their”give-away” with this project!  Needless to say this project was a huge hit!

Page 1 features our itinerary as well as the Stamp Crop & Cruise logo.

I made sure to have adjacent pages coordinate with one another so there was a cohesive look to the pages.

Most of the pages used the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper as accents.

I used a digital cutter to cut out the page titles.

The Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper was another great choice for accents on these pages.

Giving a mix of color palettes on the coordinating pages allows for lots of versatility.

Having titles on some of the pages had my guests making sure to get pictures of many different things so they could fill up their pages.

Our cruise had 2 “formal” or dressier evenings for dinner, so I thought we dedicate a page to getting dressed up.

Each port of call had a 2 page spread dedicated to it.  Everyone went their own way for excursions while in port, so everyone was able to use the port pages as they wanted.

Of course food is a very important part of cruising, so we needed to dedicate some pages to the food!

I created pages 22 & 23 to hold a lot of pictures because not all pictures fit into a labeled category.

The 24th and final page of the scrapbook is a great place to document all of the fabulous women that took this adventure with me.

Tomorrow, we’re on to Project 4 which is a framed art home decor piece.  If you missed my previous posts on my Stamp Crop & Cruise you can see them by clicking the links below.

This pretty card box was Project 2 at my Stamp Crop & Cruise Retreat.  Since we were going to be making a bunch of cards on the retreat, I thought it made sense to create a box to hold all of them.  We started out with the Floral Romance Cardstock and added the Floral Romance Specialty designer Series Paper.

On the inside of the lid, we made a pocket to fit the small cards from Project 1.

For the top of the lid, we used the Large Letter Framelits to spell out “Cards” using the Eclipse Technique.  We then did some fussy cutting of the leaves and flowers on the vellum from the Floral Romance Specialty Paper and these were tucked behind the pop up letters.  We added some of the Petal Pink/Whisper White Variegated Ribbon (everyone got a roll of this to take home) and finished it off with a Floral Romance seal.

I hope you’re enjoying the projects from Stamp Crop & Cruise.  Tomorrow I’ll be sharing Project 3 which was one of the favorite projects of the trip.  See you then!

Stamp Crop & Cruise Project 1

Yesterday I shared a little bit about my Stamp Crop & Cruise Retreat I held last week.  Today I wanted to kick things off by sharing the first project everyone made at the event.  I used the Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack and coordinating Cards & Envelopes to create this 10 card set.  I like to start my retreats out with a nice simple project like this because everyone has different stamping abilities and this project lets them get warmed up.

If you’ve never created cards with the Memories & More Card Packs, then I want you to know how easy it is to create cards really quickly. This first card is just the card base and one of the Happiness Blooms Memories & More card fronts attached to it.

For the third card in the set, we used the Well Written Framelits to cut out the “thanks” sentiment.

Card 4 features the Bloom by Bloom stamp set, the Well Written Framelits Dies as well as the coordinating Well Said stamp set.

Card 5 features a few more of the stickers that come in the Memories & More card pack.  All of the cards I’ve shared so far measure 3″ x 4″ and had coordinating envelopes.

These next cards all measure 4″ x 6″ and again have coordinating envelopes.  We cut part of the front of the card base as well as the large card front to create this unique fun fold.  We also added a few of the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots to the center of the flowers and the lower edge. (yes, everyone received their own package of these Enamel Dots)!

We added a little ribbon to jazz up card 7.

Texture was added to card 8 by running the card base through the Big Shot with the Dot to Dot Embossing Folder.  The happy birthday banner on the card was one of the card fronts that was trimmed down and turned into a banner with the Banner Triple Punch then we added some Enamel Dots.

For card 9, we used two of the card fronts (polka dots and flowers) and added the sentiments with the Well Said Bundle.

And finally, card 10 in the set is a Missing Middle Fun Fold card.  We added the flower images from the Bloom by Bloom stamp set, Calypso Coral Ribbon, the Well Said Bundle and the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.

It was fun to take the Happiness Blooms Memories & More Card Pack and transform them into a set of unique cards with coordinating envelopes.

I hope you enjoyed project 1 of my Stamp Crop & Cruise Retreat.  Please come back tomorrow when I’ll be showcasing project 2.
