Frosted Florals One Sheet Wonder makes 14 beautiful cards

Tuesday evening I held a One Sheet Wonder Class at my Stampin’ Studio.  We used the Frosted Florals Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalog.  The idea behind the One Sheet Wonder is that you use a 12″ x 12″ piece of designer paper and cut it up to create a bunch of cards, in this case 14 cards, each different that only needed a sentiment to finish them off.

 I used a template for the One Sheet Wonder that Michelle Boyer created- thank you Michelle.  You can get the template HERE.  We added a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock behind each piece of designer paper to really make it pop.  I cut these so that they’d have 1/16″ border around the edges.  I then just pulled out a tone of different sentiments which we stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Blackberry Bliss ink and again layered them on a Blackberry Bliss mat and popped them up off the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

So Santa’s on Vacation!

And so here we are at day 3 of my So Santa & Buffalo Check cards.  See (Day 1 here and Day 2 here) Instead of baking or riding his scooter, this time Santa’s on vacation.  How fun is that?

Stampin' Up! So Santa stamp set, Buffalo Check Stamp, Stampin' Studio

As with each of the other cards in this series, I’ve made a half panel front card which adds interest to the simple design.  The Black Memento Ink on the Buffalo Check background stamp stamped on Poppy Parade card stock sets the tone of this festive card.  Once again the Stitched Shapes Framelits are perfect paired with the Buffalo Checks.  Santa and his surfboard and drink are stamped in Memento Ink and colored in with Stampin’ Blends- that makes it so quick and easy.  After putting a mat of Basic Black Scallop Oval cut using the Layering Ovals Framelits under the stamped image, I attached this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals along the bottom half of the layers only (so that I didn’t seal the card shut).  The only embellishment needed to finish off the card were the pine boughs cut using the Pretty Pines Thinlits.  Oh yeah, one more thing…the “squiggles” on the inside of the card were drawn randomly with a Journaling Pen.

Just Scooting by with a Christmas Hi!

I used Stampin’ Blends for quick and easy coloring for Santa on his scooter.  The faux stitching on the Whisper White piece was achieved by simply cutting it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I layered this on a Basic Black scalloped square cut using the Layering Squares Framelits.  And of course the Red & Black Buffalo Check is a piece of Poppy Parade stamped in Black Memento ink with the Buffalo Check background stamp.  The Pretty Pines Framelits add a bit more of a Christmas-y feel.  I positioned one of the branches to extend beyond the front flap for added interest.
