Rustic Christmas with Peaceful Noel Bundle

I love the way this card turned out!  I was going for a rustic Christmas feel and I think I achieved it with the plaid and burlap.  What do you think?

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Noel stamp set, Sprig Punch, Stampin' Studio

I used the Corrugated Embossing Folder for the texture on the background.  Important Tip when using the Corrugated Embossing Folder, you’ll want to sandwich your cardstock between 2 sheets of Waxed Paper so that the deep impressions don’t tear the cardstock.  The plaid print is from the Festive Farmhouse DSP and then I layered it on a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock before wrapping the Striped Burlap Trim around these layers.  The focal point starts out with a Crumb Cake circle cut from the Stitched Shapes Framelits, then layered with Old Olive and Mossy Meadow greenery punched using the Sprig Punch.  The Cherry Cobbler Banner was stamped with the sentiment from the Joyous Noel stamp set.  The finishing touch is a Galvanized Clip adorned with a Linen Thread bow.  Both the Joyous Noel stamp set and the Sprig Punch are part of the Joyous Noel Bundle and offered at a 10% savings.

Stacked Birthday Presents

Today is my birthday and in honor of my birthday I am offering a free gift to everyone who places an online order with me this week.  See more details at the end of the post.  This was a fun card we made at club last week featuring the Merry Christmas Thinlits and the Best Route Designer Series Paper.

Stampin' Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, Merry Christmas Framelits, Stampin' Studio

Supplies:

  • Stamp Sets –Happy Birthday Gorgeous (143662)
  • Card Stock –Blueberry Bushel (146968); Mango Melody (146989); Whisper White (100730); Best Route Designer Series Paper (146897);
  • Stamp Pads – Blueberry Bushel (147138)
  • – Big Shot (143263); Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies (147912); Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon (146953); Best Route Enamel Shapes (146900); Mini Glue Dots (103683); Snail Adhesive (104332)

Measurements: 

  • Blueberry Bushel cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 11″ score at 5-1/2″                   
  • Mango Melody cardstock: 4″ x 5-1/4″ & 2” x 4”
  • Whisper White cardstock: 3-3/4” x 5”
  • Best Route Designer Series Paper: Arrow print 1-1/4” x 3”, Blue print 1-1/4” x 2-1/2”, Striped print 1-1/4” x 2”
  • Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon: 5” and 7” for bow

 Instructions:

  • Ink up just the word “happy” from the Happy Birthday stamp in Blueberry Bushel and stamp on the lower edge of the Whisper White piece of cardstock.
  • Attach 5” piece of Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon to the backside of the “arrow” print from the Best Route DSP in the center using snail adhesive.
  • Using Snail, attach each piece of Best Route DSP to Whisper White cardstock one on top of the other forming a stack of presents.
  • Bring the other end of the Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon over all the presents and trim off any excess length. Attach to the top present with a Mini Glue Dot
  • Tie a bow in the 7” piece of Pineapple Punch Grosgrain Ribbon and attach to the top of the presents with a Mini Glue Dot
  • Die-cut “Happy” from the smaller Mango Melody cardstock with the Big Shot and the Merry Christmas Thinlits
  • Attach “happy” to the presents with Mini Glue Dots
  • Use Snail to attach the Whisper White cardstock to the Mango Melody cardstock, then attach these layers to the Blueberry Bushel card base.
  • Embellish with 2 round and 1 star from the best Route Enamel Shapes.

Snowflake Showcase

It’s the first day of November all ready, can you believe it?!  While that means here in Wisconsin the snow will be falling soon, there is something really exciting about it being November 1st….Stampin’ Up! has an exclusive group of products they call the Snowflake Showcase that are available from November 1st through November 30 or as long as supplies last (which ever comes first).  Let’s take a look at the products.

Happiness Surrounds

The Happiness Surrounds stamp set is a photopolymer 14 piece stamp set that has sentiments and images that work great all year long.

Snow is Glistening

The Snow is Glistening stamp set is also a 14 piece photopolymer set.  This one features beautiful Christmas and wintery sentiments and images.

Snowfall Thinlits Dies

The Snowfall Thinlits Dies coordinate with both the Happiness Surrounds stamp set and the Snow is Glistening stamp set.  Look close and you’ll see detailed and delicate flowers, snowflakes and swirls.  I’m pretty sure this will become an all time favorite.

Snowflake Trinkets

These pretty little embellishments are the Snowflake Trinkets and will be the prefect accent on your cards this season.  The metallic snowflakes are adorned with a rhinestone jewel in the center.  They come 20 to a package and measure 3/4″.

White Velvet Sheets

The last, but certainly not least product in the Snowflake Showcase is the White Velvet Sheets.  These measure 12″ x 12″ and are a very soft velvet that can be die cut, punched and even stamped on.  They come 2 sheets to a package.
