Gift Bag made from Petal Promenade Designer Paper

As promised, here’s another project I made using the soft and feminine Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper.  This is a gift bag that measures 5″ wide by 5-3/4″ tall.  It’s the perfect size to fit the four Petal Promenade cards with matching envelopes I previously featured.

I used two matching pieces of the Petal Promenade DSP cut 9″ x 9″.  I scored them 2″ on three sides and 1-1/4″ on the fourth side of both pieces.  After folding on the score lines and clipping out the corners, I assembled the bag, punched 1/8″ holes for the ribbon and threaded the ribbon handles through.  I got the idea for this type of bag from Ronda Wade, I just changed the size of the bag to fit the cards.

In case you missed my Petal Promenade cards I featured earlier in the week here’s the whole class I did.

Sending Love with the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper

Here’s my 4th in series of card featuring the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper paired with the Floral Frames stamp set.  This is truly a winning combination.

This time I started with a Grapefruit Grove card base which measures 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ score at 4-1/4″.  Next is a piece of Petal Pink cardstock which I ran through the Big Shot with the Tufted Embossing Folder and layered on a piece of Whisper White.  I then wrapped a piece of the Petal Pink Metallic Ribbon Combo around this layer and attached it to the card base.  The beautiful floral print from the Petal Promenade DSP takes center stage when layered on a piece of Grapefruit Grove and attached to the card with Dimensionals.  The sentiment on the Whisper White banner is from the Floral Frames stamp set and was stamped in Petal Pink ink.  The finishing touch on the card is the three pearls- the 2 peach toned pearls come from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls while the third on is a Basic Pearl Jewel.

I have one final Petal Promenade Project to share with you tomorrow.  It’s a gorgeous Gift Bag…see you then!

Missing Middle Card with Petal Promenade

It’s Day 3 of my Petal Promenade & Floral Frames cards.  This one is a fun fold that i call a “Missing Middle” card.  I call it that because if you look closely at the photo, you’ll see that the middle of the card is missing but it’s all held together by the “wreath” layers.

I started with a Smoky Slate card base that I cut 5-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ and I scored it at 4-1/4 which left a flap at the top of 1″.  I ran this flap and another 1″ x 5-1/2″ piece Smoky Slate through the Big Shot with the Tufted Embossing Folder.  On the inside of the card I attached a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of the ray Mable print from the Petal Promenade DSP.  For the front of the card, I cut one of the Wreath elements from the Petal Promenade DSP and rounded the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch and layered it on a piece of Powder Pink cardstock which also have rounded corners.  The sentiment comes from the Floral Frames stamp set and is stamped in Smoky Slate.  IN order to attach the wreath layer to the card front, I used dimensionals attaching it to the top flap and the 1″ bottom strip.  Once the dimensionals are secured you now have a “missing Middle” card.  I finished it off with a bow made from the Petal Pink Metallic Ribbon Combo.  And once again I coordinated the envelope flap with the petal Promenade Designer Series Paper.

I’ve got yet another card featuring the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper to share with you tomorrow!
