Moon Baby Card

Stampin' Up! Moon Baby stamp set, Stampin' Studio

Okay, I just have to share this card my friend Cathy made using the Moon Baby stamp set from the Occasions catalog.  Is this not just the sweetest baby card?  I love the sleeping baby all snuggled up on the moon.

Three Things I Love

I love the coordination of the polka dotted jammies and the Designer Paper polka dots from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack.

I love the  use of the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder for the texture on the base of the card and how it ties in with the star hanging from the baby’s hand and the yellow star by the moon.

I love how she did “fussy cutting” around the baby and the moon images so that the moon is a solid yellow color rather than coloring it in.

Oh, one more thing I love is the rhinestone bling on the star to make it sparkle.

Some of the items used on this card are on the reiring product list and a few are carrying over in the Annual Catalog.  Be sure to check out what will be gone in a few short weeks before it’s too late.  Click HERE to see the Retiring Products List.

Scrappin’ Day Getaway Pages

Today I’m sharing the final six pages from the Scrapbook Class in a Box that was included in the registration fee for the retreat.

Pages 6 & 7 were created with “her” in mind.  Soft and feminine pages which feature the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper and the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and Sunshine Sayings stamp set.  I think the Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Basic Black color palette is very striking.

Of course if we have pages for “her” we must have pages for “him”, so this time I went with the Urban Underground Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Everything here is neutral with Basic Black, Smoky Slate and Basic Grey, but the addition of the Silver Foil Sheets which has been embossed with the Hexagon Embossing Folder and the added touch of the Urban Underground Embellishments made these pages a real hit.

The final two page spread was Christmas themed.  I used the 12″ x 12″ Kraft Paper for a nostalgic feel and I added prints from the This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The stockings were stamped and die cut with the Hang Your Stocking stamp set and Christmas Stockings Thinlits, while the sentiment and holly leaves were stamped with the Holly Berry Happiness set and the coordinating Holly Berry Builder Punch.

Most of the products I used when designing these pages were products that are on the Retiring Products List. some of them have sold out already, so be sure to check them out here before they’re gone for good.

Scrappin’ Day Getaway Pages

Yesterday, I shared a bit about my Scrappin’ Day Getaway and all of the goodies the attendees received.  As part of their registration fee everyone received a Scrapbook Class in a Box.  Here you can see all of the completed pages from my Scrapbook Class in a Box.

Let’s Take  Closer Look

We started off with a two page Birthday themed spread featuring the Party Animal Designer Series Paper.  My color palette came straight from the DSP and makes it perfect for preserving memories of any boy or girl or adult for that matter.  The bouquet of balloons were punched from the DSP using the Balloon Bouquet Punch, which I then added some Bakers Twine for the strings. I added the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Watercolor Words stamp set and finished it off with a Party Animal Embellishment.

This cool two page spread features the Day at the Beach stamp set and the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack.  For the two-toned page title, I cut the letters out with the Large Letters Framelits in Soft Sky then I water colored over the bottom half of each letter with the Aqua Painter and Island Indigo Ink.

Next up was this cheerful and fresh two page spread using the Fresh Fruit stamp set and coordinating Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper.  Some of the flowers were stamped and cut out and popped up off the page for an added bit of depth.

Tomorrow I’ll be sharing the final six pages from the Scrapbook Class in a Box from my Scrappin’ Day Getaway.
