Stampin' Up! Bella & Friends stamp set, Stampin' Studio

I’ve had this stamp set, Bella & Friends, sitting on my shelf for quite some time.  I’m not sure why I never cracked it open until now.  It’s such an adorable set and it’s perfect for some quick and easy watercoloring.  I chose to use Pacific Pont and Old Olive along with Whisper White.

Let’s Take a Closer Look

One of the best things about watercoloring with the Aqua Painters is that you get an easy wash of color which allows for various shades of the same color.  This is easiest to see in the grass which I water colored with Old Olive Ink.  I did the same thing with a wash of color in the sky using Pacific Point ink diluted with lots of water.

So…have you done it yet?…purchase the Eastern Palace Suite Bundles?  Stampin’ Up! has put together two amazing bundles as a special purchase for the month of May only, and they are flying off the shelves!  Everyone is falling in love with this suite, so I thought I’d show you a card we made ar Stampin’ Go club last night featuring some of the items from the new suite, that can be purchased in the bundles.  Isn’t it stunning?

Let’s Take  Closer Look

Check out the Very Vanilla flower medallion which I cut out using the Big Shot and the Eastern Medallion Thinlits.  To get this design I used two pieces of the framelits at the same time which cut out the outer edge and also lifted the inner petals.  So easy and so impressive looking.  Next I added a bit of bling with the Gold Vinyl Sticker which I put in the middle of the flower.  I paired the new Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper (Vanilla and Gold) with the Gold Foil Sheets and then I tied it all together with the 1/4″ Gold Natural Ribbon (which is a carryover from the current annual catalog).

Measurements: Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 11: scored at 5-1/2″, Very Vanilla: 4″ x 5-1/5″, 1-1/4″ x 4-3/4″, scrap for medallion, Gold Foil Sheet: 1-1/2″ x 5″ and scrap for circle, Eastern Palace DSP: 2-3/4″ x 4″

Tips: I started off with the card base of Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock which is a free gift from Stampin’ Up! when you purchase the Premier Bundle.  It makes for the perfect cardbase as it’s much sturdier than our regular very Vanilla cardstock.

A bit of Gold Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool added the perfect sentiment from the eastern Beauty stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Cake Crazy stamp set, Stampin' Studio

Over the past week I’ve featured a few different cards using the Cake Crazy stamp set.  You can see them Here and Here.  Today’s card is very feminine looking with soft shades of pink and grey.  This time I stamped each cake layer and cut it out, then I built my cake layer by layer and popped them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Studio Tips

Tips:I used the A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack for the banners.  One of the prints in the stack is row after sweet little row of banners.  I simply trimmed around a row, and popped them up off the card with…you guessed it….Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Quick and Easy!

Measurements: Whisper White Thick cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″, Smoky Slate: 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″, Blushing Bride: 4-5/8″ x 3-3/8″, Whisper White: 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ and scraps for the cake.
