So Very Much & Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper

Stampin' Up! So Very Much stamp set, Sale-a-bration 2017, Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Studio

I thought it would be fun to showcase the Sale-a-bration items in a class before Sale-a-bration is over for the year.  I held a 10-10-10 class on Tuesday night which was a class where we made 10 cards that would each take 10 minutes to make and the cost for the class was $10 with a minimum purchase.  It was a lot of fun to create simple cards that were still impressive enough to be proud to send to someone.  For this card I used the stamp set called So Very Much and I paired it with the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper.  When I designed it, I didn’t know that Stampin’ Up! was going to add the Succulent Garden DSP to the list of choices for free sale-a-bration items, so this was a win-win.

How pretty is this Succulent Garden DSP?  I mean really, these soft shades of Mint Macaron and white and the gorgeous flower print?  I love it.  After wrapping a piece of the Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon around the DSP and adding a bow, I layered the designer paper on Smoky Slate cardstock, stamped the sentiment in Smoky Slate ink and added some pearls and called it done.

I used the Inside the Lines DSP as the background in this card choosing to keep it all very simple.  I added a Basic Black Butterfly from the Butterflies Thinlits to add some depth and dimension to the card.  The finishing touch is the sentiment from Suite Sentiments which was stamped in Stazon on Vellum cardstock so that it didn’t compete with the Designer Paper.

I’m not much of a cook at all, in fact the saying at our house is that you can eat my food, but the food that Dave makes actually tastes good.  But, I do love to bake and I’m pretty good at it.  Maybe that’s why I get such a chuckle out of the Perfect Mix stamp set.  I love the adorable kitchen gadgets all related to baking.  I also really love Red, Black and White together so this card is a real winner in my book.
