It’s all about the copper

Copper is the new “On Trend” Metallic these days, so of course the new Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Copper Embossing Powder have been a huge hit. You may not have noticed the other copper items in the catalog like the Copper Metallic Thread and the Copper Washi Tape that comes in the Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape.

Love & Affection

I cut a 1/2″ strip of the copper printed paper from Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper and attached it to the side of the Very Vanilla card stock which I had embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. On the second layer of Very Vanilla I used the coordinating Floral Affection Embossing Folders and then heat embossed the sentiment from Love & Affection with Copper Embossing Powder. I think the Cajun Craze card base really highlights the copper tone.

On Mondays, in order to start the week off, I like to share a simple card that is easy to make. So I went with a Moroccan theme today.

Moroccan Nights

The beautiful medallion comes from the Moroccan Nights stamp set. I inked it up with the new Emerald Envy ink and stamped it off before stamping it on the Very Vanilla card stock. The printed paper is from the Moroccan Designer Series Paper and it’s also where my color pallet of Emerald Envy, Dapper Denim, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso came from. The sentiment comes from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set. The finishing touches are some of the tiny Pearls Basic Jewels and the Emerald Envy Ruched Ribbon.
