Vanilla & Gold Elegance

Sometimes a very simple color pallet is all you need for an super elegant card.

Very Vanilla card stock and Gold Foil Paper are the main ingredients for this card.  Texture was added with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.  The deer image from Jolly Christmas was heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.  The Gold Foil Tree was cut out using the Perfect Pines Framelits and decorated with some Basic Pearl Jewels.  The finishing touch was a bit of Gold Cording Trim.  Simply Elegant!

Pretty Poinsettias

Oh how I love our coordinating products!  Love all these pretty poinsettias.

The color pallet of Soft Sky, Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow, Real Red and  Mint Macron comes from the poinsettia printed paper from the Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper.  Next up is the Reason for the Season stamp set for the leaves and flower petals which coordinate with the Festive Flower Builder Punch.  Add a little “jolly” greeting from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits and a bit of Gold Glimmer Paper and you’ve got a very festive holiday card.

White Christmas

I love the type of snowfalls where the snow shimmers and glistens on the trees.  It all looks so peaceful and right.  This card reminds me of Christmas at the Carley’s (that’s my maiden name).  We celebrate Carley Christmas the weekend before Christmas with my mom & dad, my sister and her whole families and both my brothers and their whole families.  They live in Richland Center, WI and there are hills and valleys all over that are covered with beautiful big pines like this.

…Any way let’s talk about this card, shall we?  The stamp set is the Happy Scenes set and I will miss it when the Holiday catalog is gone.  Wonder how the moon was stamped?  It actually wasn’t stamped.  It’s masking: punch out a 1/2″ circle from the sticky part of a Post-it note, stick it on the card stock and sponge over the card stock.  When you remove the sticky note circle you’re left with a bight white moon.  The trees were colored with the 2 way glue pen and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.
