Dove of Peace

I’m sure you’ve heard one of the most popular trends right now is coloring books for adults. Nearly everywhere you look there are books filled with intricate designs meant for coloring in with markers and colored pencils.  They say it’s very therapeutic and relaxing.

The Dove of Peace stamp set is an image from the Holiday Catalog that is perfect for coloring in.  For this card, the image was stamped on Whisper White Shimmer Paper with Night of Navy Ink and the Aqua Painter was used with Perfect Plum Ink to color in parts of the intricate design.  Once the aqua painter was cleaned of ink, a “wash” of clear water was brushed over the entire piece of card stock for a soft blended look.  A few strategically placed Rhinestones and a bow and this card is ready to be mailed.

Cut out Christmas

This card reminds me of cut out Christmas Cookies, which I should start thinking about doing some baking but my plan today is to get the Christmas Tree up and decorated as well as spend time in my stamp room creating projects for my Stamp & Go Club next week.

The Star Framelits were used to cut a star out of the front of the Crumb Cake card base.  It was then run through the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and a piece of the Home For Christmas Designer Series Paper was put behind the cut out.  The tree was cut out from the musical sheet which is also in the Home For Christmas Designer Series Paper.  A little decorating of the tree with a Gold Foil Paper star and some Gold Bakers Twine and there you have your cut out Christmas card.

Rustic Winter

How about a nice rustic card for a winter Birthday?

The Woodgrain Embossing Folder gives great texture to the background.  The images from Winter Wishes are all stamped on cardstock cut from the Lots of Labels Framelits.  The Mossy Meadow Striped Cotton Ribbon adds a bold contrast to the soft muted tones of Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow.  The final touch are a couple of Neutral Candy Dots and a Snowflake Embellishment.
