I wanted to share this beautiful card I saw on the display boards at a recent Stampin’ Up! event I attended. 

 

 

The background is made of strips of the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper Stack laid down in a herringbone pattern.  It sets the stage for this otherwise very simple card.  The elegant sentiment comes from the To You & Yours stamp set and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.  The Snowflake Element is heat embossed by covering the fron of the wooden piece with Versamark and covering it with Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder and heat embossing with the Heat Tool.  Simple, Elegant and stunning wouldn’t you agree?

This was the final card from my Christmas Stamp-a-stack last week.

I love the look of embossed Foil Paper and heat embossing.

 

 

The Whisper White base of this card is cut 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ and then I layered a piece of Red Foil Paper and Silver Foil Paper that was embossed with the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder.  Next I cut some circles with the Circle Collection Framelits and did some heat embossing with Silver Embossing Powder using the Peaceful Wreath stamp set.  I colored in the berries and holly with Mossy Meadow and Real Red Markers and added a Silver Cording bow.  The banner was stamped with the sentiment from Peaceful Wreath and finished off with a couple of the Home for Christmas Enamel Dots.

The red, white and black color palate of this card reminds me of Santa Clause yet it the shimmery tree and shiny foil makes it elegant.

 

 

I layered a piece of Red Foil on a piece of Whisper White card stock and ran it through the Softly Falling Embossing Folder for some soft texture.  The tree was cut from Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Paper and cut out with the Perfect Pines Framelits.  If you look closely you’ll see that each branch pops up.  This was created by on of the dies in the set.  The addition of the Black Satin Ribbon is the perfect finishing touch.
