Toadally Awesome!

I have really fallen in love with the “You’re Sublime” stamp set.  The images are adorable and so much fun to work with.

My color palate today comes from the English Garden DSP.  I thought the blue, green and brown tones worked perfectly with this happy frog. The frog is stamped with Jet Black Stazon on Water Color Paper and water colored with Mossy Meadow Ink and an Aqua Painter.  The sentiment comes from the Tin of Cards stamp set.

Where inspiration comes from

As I was sitting down to stamp my mind was wandering to my flower garden.   Weeds have over taken my flower beds but my Black Eyed Susan’s are still there and have just recently bloomed. That is where the inspiration for this card came from.

My color pallet of Crushed Curry, Early Espresso and Old Olive mimic the Black Eyed Susan.  The card base is 5 1/2″ tall by 7 1/2″ wide and is scored at 4 1/4″.  I then attached a 1″ strip of Crushed Curry  DSP from the Regal Collection to the inside of the card.  The banner is a piece of delicate Early Espresso Seam Binding which adds a light touch.  The perfect stamp set for this card was the Garden in Bloom with the 2 step stamping for the multiple shades of the flowers and leaves.

Loads of Thanks

Yesterday I posted a birthday card for my nephew using the “You’re Sublime” stamp set.  Here’s another card featuring the same stamp set.

The image was stamped in Stazon and water colored with the Aqua Painter creating different shades of Watermelon Wonder flowers.  Pear Pizzazz pairs very well with Watermelon Wonder, so I used it for the wheel barrow, the Striped DSP and even the bakers twine accent.
