Corner Flip Card

I’ve been waiting to share this really fun fold card with you because you’re the best!

First the details of the products used then I’ll get to the construction.  The Bohemian Designer Series Paper makes a real statement front and center, so I used the coordinating Boho Chic Embossing Folder to add some texture.  The sentiment comes from the Friendly Wishes stamp set.

The inside makes a statement all on it’s own with the sentiment from Another Thank You and a simple strip of the same DSP.

How to construct the card itself.

Start with a regular 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of card stock which is scored and folded in half at 4 1/4″.  With the card stock horizontal, line the left edge of the card on the 3″ mark and position the cutting blade at the 3″ mark.  Now slide the cutting blade up to the 5/8″ mark so you’ve got a slit in the card.

One more cut to go and we’re home free.

Rotate the card stock clockwise so that the card is now vertical and line the long edge on the left at the 2 1/2″ mark  and position the cutting blade at the 3″ mark.  Now slide the cutting blade up to the 5/8″ mark so you’ve got a second slit in the card.

Now all you have to do is flip that top right corner to the outside and fold it down.

Then fold the card n half so that the flipped corner is on the outside.

To emboss the card unfold the flip and emboss then fold it back into place.
It may seem hard at first, so practice it a time or two with some scrap paper, but once you do it once, it’s pretty easy.  Let me know what you think.

So here’s what I did

Yesterday I posted a picture of the beginnings of my color display board.  Here’s the final product.  It gives a great visual of all of the Stampin’ Up! colors and color families.  It’s a rainbow of happiness.

I did a little rearranging in my class studio and changed out some of my displays.

And here are Tuesday nights club members working on the nights 3 projects.

Lots of Pretties

So it’s been a full week now since the new catalog started and it’s obvious you’re loving it!  Me too!

As new colors are introduced, I like to keep the display at my Stampin’ Studio up to date, so I’ve been busy making an updated version.  The Big Shot has been working over time cutting out the “Lot’s of Labels Framelits” and Spiral Flowers in every color available.  I also ran each piece through the various Embossing Folders to add texture.  Next on the list is to label each one with all of our fabulous colors and attach them to the display board.  I’ll be cleaning and redecorating my Stamp Studio today in preparation for tonight’s first club of the new catalog.  I’ll post pictures tomorrow so you can see the end results.
