Happy Flag Day!

Let’s celebrate Flag Day with a card!

When I first saw the “Brushstrokes” back ground stamp my thoughts went to a flag so I stamped in in Real Red ink.  The imperfect lines make it seem like the flag is blowing in the wind.  The blue star panel was created by heat embossing the image from “You’re So Sweet” with White Embossing Powder.  There’s a coordinating die to cut that out in the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits package.  I popped the star panel up with Dimensionals.

I used the “Confetti Stars Border” punch to fancy up the inside of the card and finished it off with a big red bow!
This card would be great for 4th of July as well as any supper birthdays.

Modified Front Panel Card

I spent last night with some really great ladies and my New Catalog Demonstrator Make & Take event last night.  This is one of the 20 cards everyone made.

I enjoy making this style card with the modified front panel because of the interest it ads.  The Pear Pizzazz card base is cut 7 1/4″ wide x 5 1/2″ tall and is scored at 4 1/4″, so that the front flap of the card it only 2″ wide.  I used the Garden in Bloom stamp set and the English Garden DSP for my color pallet of Pear Pizzazz and Melon Mambo.

Remarkable You

All set and ready to go for my demonstrator event tonight.  20 cards are designed for everyone to make using all new product from the new catalog.  We will also be doing some swapping of cards.  This is my card swap.

The stamp set is called Remarkable You and it has the prettiest flower images that are perfect for water coloring.  I stamped the image on Water color Paper and used an Aqua Painter and Cherry Cobbler ink to shade and highlight the petals.  I cut the flower out by hand(sorry no punch or die for this one yet) and popped it up on a Pink Pirouette circle which is layered on a Basic Black circle (love me those layers).  The banner is from the Neutrals DSP Stack.  Kind of hard to tell from the photo but I added a 1″ vertical band of Pink Pirouette to the inside of the card and cut the front flap 1″ narrower so that the pink border shows.  The Corner Rounder Punch came in handy for dressing up the corners a bit.
