Hugs My Friend

Isn’t this card stunning?  It was on a display board on our trip to Hawaii.  It was made by a fellow demonstrator but unfortunately I don’t know who.

I love the window created with the Deco Labels Little Letters Thinlits.  The beautiful brayering behind the window reminds me of a Hawaiian sunset.  The texture created by the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder pairs great with the heat embossed layers of flowers and butterflies.

Hello Life Card Kit Round Two

Yesterday I shared with you 6 of the 12 different card designs from my Hello Life Card Class.  Today I’ll be sharing the remaining 12 designs.
The amazing thing about these cards is that they were made with a set of Whisper White not cards and the Hello Life Project Kit (which was not designed to make cards at all)  The only items that were used that weren’t in the kit was a few little pieces of Crushed curry card stock for the banners, Crushed Curry Ink, Memento Ink, and the Hello Life stamp set.

Hope you enjoyed this fun project.  It’s the holiday weekend and at least part of my plan this weekend is to start pulling all of the retiring product off my shelves.  Don’t forget to take a final look at the retiring products list and order those items you still want before they’re gone for good.

Have a great Memorial Day Weekend and remember those who served and their families who sacrificed for our freedom.

An unexpected twist!

I love to take something that was designed to be used one way and repurpose it.  That’s exactly what was done with the Hello Life Project Kit shown on page 6 of the Occasions Catalog.  Here’s what come in the kit…

And this is what the kit was designed to make….

This set of 20 note cards with matching envelopes.  This idea was shared at a recent Stampin’ Up! event.  I took the idea and recreated it for a fun class last night.  My thought was that you could package up 4 or 5 cards in a cello bag and tie it up with some coordinating bakers twine and you’d have some pretty awesome little gifts to have on hand when you need them.

Of the 20 cards there were a total of 12 different designs (8 of the cards were made twice for a total of 20 cards).  Besides the Hello Life Kit we used the Hello Life stamp set, a package of Whisper White Notecards with Envelopes, Crushed Curry Ink, Memento Ink, and Whisper White Ink.  Want a close up look at the cards?

Come on back tomorrow and I’ll share the other six designs.
