…and here’s what we did while we were gone!

So I promised to share some photos of some of the places we went in Hawaii.

This is the famous Waikiki Beach which was an awesome place to watch the surfers or just soak up the sun.

One day we walked down the beach and ended up at an amazing aquarium where we spotted Dori and Nemo from the Disney movie Finding Nemo.

Stampin’ Up! hosted an event for us at the Polynesian Center where we learned about all of the different Polynesian cultures.

We spent a morning at the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor.  It was such beautiful tribute to those that gave all for our freedom.

We hiked up Diamond Head which was once an active volcano.  The trail was very rugged as we walked over hardened lava but the view from the top was breathtaking.

On our last night in Hawaii Stampin’ Up! reserved the USS Missouri for a patriotic BBQ.  This ship is where the documents were signed to end
World War II.  It was a great night to get to see where history was made.

NEW PRODUCT SNEAK PEEK ALERT

This card was on display at the Fair Share.  It was made using the brand new “Build a Birthday” stamp set.  This is a super cool card because look what happens if you pull up on the ribbon on the top.

It’s an awesome pop up card which makes the cake get bigger.  Did you also notice the use of the new In Colors: Crushed Cucumber and Watermelon Wonder and the Lace Trim and the super fun Cherry on Top DSP.
There’s so much great new stuff in the new catalog and you only have to wait 12 more days for the catalog to go live.

I’m Baaaack!

First of all a HUUUGE thank you to all of you who have supported me in my business and helped me earn an amazing week in Hawaii with Stampin’ Up!

We had a blast!  As usual Stampin’ Up! spoiled us the entire time.  Everyday we had a wonderful buffet breakfast that Stampin’ Up! paid for as well as one lunch and two great dinners.  Before we left for Hawaii, Stampin’ Up! deposited money into my checking account to help cover the cost of the other meals.

We were invited to stop by the hospitality room (a place just for demonstrators and their guests) where we got to spin the wheel for some great new product that won’t be available until the new catalog comes out June 2nd.

They had tons of chocolate and candy (and a few healthy choices) for us to help ourselves to.  Every night when we returned to our room there was a special gift for us.

Here’s my stash!  These are some of the product I won spinning the wheel as well as the nightly gifts.  A beautiful beach bag, a Hawaiian hand quilted make up bag, a beautiful sterling silver hibiscus and pearl necklace, and we each (meaning Dave & I) got to pick out a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses.
Not to mention two packages of new Designer Series Papers, ribbon, boxes, Project Life Memory Keeping Cards and accessories, embellishments and a couple of nee stamp sets!

One day they has a “Share Fair” where a few select demonstrators shared some new product and some cool ideas with them.  I was able to get a few good pictures of some up and coming product.  Check out the “Market Fresh” stamp set and Farmers Market Designer Series Papers used on these three cards.

I hope you enjoyed getting just a little taste of what a Stampin’ Up! tri p is like.
Tomorrow I’ll share a few photos from some of our excursions… and of course a few more cards featuring new product!

Keeping it simple

This is one of those cards where less is more.  The only stamp set that was used is Butterfly Basics which by the way is a stunning set.  The illusion of depth in the ferns was created by stamping twice without re-inking the stamp.  There is texture implied with the soft sponging along the Very Vanilla card stock.  The simple pearls on the butterfly leave an elegant and understated touch.
