Is it Spring Yet?

I don’t know about the rest of you, but this girl is ready for Spring!  Springtime always makes me think of Easter, so I thought I’d share this fun and easy Easter Card.  The image (from For Peep’s Sake stamp set) was colored with the Stampin’ Write markers and stamped on a strip of Whisper White card stock and then punched using the Ornate Tag Topper Punch.  Notice the dainty little scallop border at the bottom of the tag.  That’s actually the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and most of the punch is hidden behind the tag so just the daintiest little bit peeks out from behind.  Love it!  For get about adding bulk to this card by tying a know in the ribbon, just grab the Handheld Stapler from page 21 of the Occasions catalog and secure the ribbon with a staple.  The back ground of the card is lots of scrap strips of the Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper called Best Years Ever.  Those scraps are so hard to just throw out, and this is a perfect way to use them up so you don’t have to  throw them out. 
 
 

Ever Change Your Mind?

Of course you’ve changed your mind at one time or another.  That’s certainly the case for me when it comes to the Butterfly Basics stamp set.  When the Occasions catalog came out and I made out my really long wish list, Butterfly Basics didn’t even get considered for the list.  I ordered the Butterflies Framelits but has absolutely no interest in the coordinating stamp set.  That is until I saw some beautiful cards created from the stamp set.  I can’t believe what a sleeper this stamp set was to me.  Now that I’ve got it and have played with it, I absolutely LOVE IT!  What do you think?

I’m Back from vacation

I’m back from vacation with our kids celebrating their graduations from college.  We had a wonderful cruise and the weather was beautiful.  It was just what I needed.  I’m now in “full stamping mode” now though because the Stampin’ Sister’s retreat I do with my sister every year is less than 2 weeks away and I’ve got lots to get done. 
 
 
So today, I thought I’d share with you another card I saw at Leadership.  I don’t know who made it, but is it not gorgeous?  I find that when I’m designing for a class, and I can’t decide what colors to use,  the card is always a hit if I use shades of purple.  This card has Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant.  The stamp set is the Butterfly Basics and the butterfly is cut out wit the coordinating Butterflies Thinlits.  Blendabilities  make the flowers pop, don’t you think?
