Go-to Greetings

Today’s card features the stamp set called Go-to Greetings. It features 13 sentiment stamps with incredibly beautiful fonts that will be perfect on nearly all projects.  I wanted the sentiment to steal the show on this card so I went with a somewhat monochromatic color scheme.

The Crumb Cake card base with a piece of Early Espresso cardstock attached with Stampin’ Dimensions set the stage for this simple card.  I added 1″ wide strips of the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper as stunning background on which to attach the sentiment.  VersaMark ink was stamped on a piece of Early Espresso and then heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  Once the embossing cooled it was fussy cut using Paper Snips and attached to the card with Dimensionals.  A few Pearl Basic Jews were added as was a ribbon knot from the Old Olive & Sahara Sand Twill Combo Pack.

Glad We’re Friends

With the heat of the summer here, I can really relate to this little dogs happiness as she sits in front of the fan.  This adorable image and the perfect sentiment are from the stamp set called Glad We’re Friends.

I started with a Cajun Craze card base and added a piece of Basic White which I stamped the sentiment with Memento Black Ink. Next I used one of the prints from the He’s the Man Specialty Designer Series Papers and added a Black & White Gingham Ribbon bow before adding this to the card front. The dog and fan image was also stamped in Memento on Basic White card stock then colored in with Stampin’ Blends and mounted on a piece of Basic Black cardstock and popped up to add some dimension with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Three Matte Black Dots were added along the lower left edge to give it visual balance.

Amazing Year

With my first peek at the Annual catalog one of the things that caught my attention was the Amazing Year stamp set found on page 28.  I was drawn to the simple line art images and the wonderful sentiments and fonts.  For today’s card I wanted a soft feminine look using soft blue shades.  I decided to start with some designer paper so I pulled out the Design a Daydream Designer Series Paper (Host Exclusive) and layered that on a card base of Pool Party.

Next I added a piece of Basic White that has the “notebook paper” edge which was created with the Blossoming Happiness Dies and then texture was added by running the piece through the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.  I used Stampin’ Write Markers to color directly on the red rubber of the gift stamp using Basic Gray for the package and ribbon and Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz for the flowers and stems.  Once the stamp was colored, I “huffed” (moistened the ink by breathing through my mouth on the stamp) and stamped it on a piece of Basic White.  The only thing left to do for the gift was color in the ribbon with Pool Party marker and fussy cut around the image before attaching it to the card front with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The sentiment was stamped with Basic Gray Ink on a label which was die-cut from Basic White card stock with a label die from the Pretty Pillowbox Dies.  The finishing touch was to add a few of the  Glossy Dots Assortments.
