Pinterest Inspired Wedding Card

Do you find yourself getting lost in time when you’re on Pinterest?  I know I do.  This card was inspired by a color palate I’ve been seeing quite a bit on Pinterest.  These soft sweet colors are also 3 of our newest In Colors.  The Square Lattice Embossing folder leaves the texture similar to burlap which is also extremely trendy these days.

And the winner is…..

So everyone that notified me that they have subscribed to follow my blog via email had their names put in my drawing to win the stamp set “Yippee Skippee!”.  All the names (and there were a lot of them – thank you!) were put into a basket.  The name drawn from the hat is …… Denise Becker!  Congratulations Denise.  I’ll be getting the stamp set to you soon.  The rest of you be watching for future chances to win something wonderful.

This is a card I CASED from a swap I received from my downline Sheila Stevens.  Did you notice that it used my favorite fold?  LOVE IT!  Also notice the birch bark paper on the inside right edge?  That’s from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit on page 18 of the Holiday Catalog.  I am loving this kit because there are so many great elements in the kit.  Take a close look at it.  It’s a steal at $19.95. You get the card stock holders and belly bands which you can use just like any DSP for awesome embellishing.  The name banners and journaling cards make for super sweet accents on cards and scrapbook pages.  The table tents have DSP bases and die cut chalkboard labels which are so much fun to use with the White Stampin’ Chalk Marker which also comes in the kit.  The centerpiece wraps are actually the birch paper ribbon and Chocolate Chip paper ribbon which comes on a roll (it’s not ribbon it’s incredible paper on a roll). You also get linen thread and printed die cut leaves for festive accents on your projects.  So believe me when I say it’s not just for making the napkin pouches that it was designed for.

Joyful Christmas

I had my monthly Stamp & Go Club last night.  This is one of the cards we made.  We all decided it’s a great card to mass produce as it’s super simple and the cutting can be done while watching TV.  Go ahead, I give you permission to get a head start on your Christmas cards.  Or better yet, sign up for my Christmas Card Class Series which starts Wednesday, August 28th.
I will hold a card class each month — August, September, October and November.  Each month I will have different cards for you to make.  Sign up for all four months or just a few, it’s up to you.    I will design four different cards for each class and you will make two of each card — 8 cards total each month.  Each month will include an embellishment item – DSP, ribbon, brad, etc. – you will use these on your cards and have leftovers of the embellishment to use at home for other projects.  If you participate all four months you’ll have 32 cards ready to go and you will receive a package of envelopes.
Class Fee: $20 – this month we’ll use the Season of Style DSP paper Stack (page 22 of the Holiday Catalog) and remember you take home all of the unused DSP.
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, August 14th
All you have to do is pop me an email that you want to register.
